Email

The email manager is an ideal way to communicate to all your wedding guests about the latest wedding news. With the email manager you can add the email addresses of your guests to the website mailing list and then write one big email which will go out to all subscribed guests.

This is much easier than using your usual email program as with Wedding Edit, you will be able to create graphical emails which could include photos and images. With the Email Manager you will also be able to store previous emails so that they are on your website for future reference. If they are not on your email list, then friends and family can subscribe to receive your email updates!

Adding Subscribers to your list

To add you friends and families email addresses to the site, go to the Email Manager and click . From here you can enter all your contact emails. If you have already setup the RSVP Manager then any email addresses you added to the RSVP listing will already be stored in your Email Mailing List.

Editing Subscribers

Subscribers that you have already added to your Mailing List will be listed under the subscribers menu . From here you can delete or edit indivual people.

Email Options

The email options allow you to configure how you want the email manager to appear to your guests. Access the options by clicking on Options from the Email Manager section where you can then :

  • Allow Visitors to your site to subscribe to your emails - With this option selected, site visitors will have a page on your site where they can add your email to then subscribe to receiving email updates from you.
  • Text on the email homepage - this text is what appears at the top of the email webpage which allows visitors to then subscribe to receiving your email. Note that this is only relevant if the first option (allow visitors to your site to subscrive to your emails) is selected

Sending an email

When you have added your subscribers you are then ready to send out your emails! To send an email click on from with the Email Manager. This will then display the following page including the Web Editor (similar to Microsoft Word). The Web Editor is the same as what is used to update the webpages so you will be able to easily add your photos and change the colo u r of your text and fonts.

TIP : To send a personali s ed menu with the email displaying the first name of the email recipient then leave the first line to include << FIRSTNAME >>. This will automatically convert the text << FIRSTNAME >> to the actual name of the email recipient.
Wedding Email Creator

One you have created your email press the Preview Email button to see how your email looks. If you are happy with the email then press 'Send Email'.
